Dear Best Friends,
I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without you. I owe so much to you and my success thus far in vet school. You have all had a beautiful impact on my life and I couldn’t imagine being on this crazy ride of vet school without you. We have each other’s backs, we laugh until our sides hurt, we climb mountains – physically and mentally, and we tell each other our issues going on in our lives.
Vet school is probably one of the hardest journeys I have been on and sometimes I picture myself at a different school. What would life be like if I ended up taking that offer to that school on the other side of the country? I can’t even imagine that I would have the friends that I do here and now with you.
To my roommates: you are some of the most influential people around me. I’m so blessed you are as laid back as I am. Late hours studying and writing on our whiteboard wall we put in the house would have never happened without you. I appreciate how supportive you all are. You know exactly when I need a funny video break or a Harry Potter movie night. We have been through so much more than just vet school as roommates, and I’m so glad we have made the most of it. Even if we may not get to spend next year by each other’s side, I know I will keep you guys close for the next four years and always look to you for a good time.
To my study group: Without you, vet school would be so much more difficult. From our first day, we have been there for each other to clarify difficult study materials and I would be lost without you. I’m so glad some of us have relationships outside of studying and group projects. Our time backpacking on the Appalachian Trail, card nights, and endless hours at the gym is what keeps me sane.
Thank you all for being such amazing, supportive, and powerful people in my life.
