As my summer research experience at Tufts comes to an end, I realize that none of the great education opportunities that I’ve had since August 2013 would be possible without the support of professors, family, and classmates. Being conscious of the contributions of others is something that I earnestly try to do, but I feel that I must show my gratitude more often. I’d like to take a moment and thank the people in my life who have supported me along the way. You all know who you are, and I am forever grateful for your contributions and support.
For veterinary students, academics are stressful and seemingly never-ending. The relationships we make along the way make the struggle surmountable, and ironically, enjoyable. My summer experience was made possible with the help of terrific faculty members at Michigan State University (MSU) who helped me build a fundamental knowledge of anatomy, histology, and immunology, which has been essential in my research project. I could not have made the professional gains i have outside of MSU without their help. My family has been an unending reservoir of support. The pursuit of my dream would not be possible without you. And to my classmates, I’m fortunate to call you colleagues and cannot wait to continue growing with all of you.
