One of the great things about social media is having the ability to connect with other people across the world. When I started my DogtorKristi Instagram account I had no idea how many relationships I would form between other vet students and veterinary professionals. Having the ability to connect and share experiences with one another has positively impacted my vet journey.
Lindsey, also known as HokieDogtor, is one of the many amazing individuals I’ve connected with on Instagram. She’s a second-year vet student at Virginia-Maryland and is passionate about shelter medicine and client communication. She’s an outstanding role model and is always looking to help others in this field. Earlier this year she asked a group of us Instagramers to share advice for incoming veterinary students. With her permission, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to continue sharing her project with others!
If you’re struggling this semester hang in there! I can’t remember there every being a semester where I didn’t struggle at all. My advice is to take care of yourself first and just do your best. You got this!
