Admit it. Any free second you get during your day is likely spent getting your social media fix. I bet you’ve even gone to the bathroom for the sole purpose of getting some more phone time. We’ve all been there.
Instagram is arguably the most popular social media app today and is a great way to get a glimpse into the lives of our favorite people. And while veterinary medicine is sometimes a bit behind the 8-ball when it comes to tech, I can say with confidence that we have a ton of great personalities on social media right now sharing their experiences in vet med. If you’re interested in seeing what other vet students are doing, what they’re studying, where they’re traveling, and what they’re commiserating about, here are 10 veterinary students I recommend you follow on Instagram:
Samantha is a fourth-year student at Cornell University. Her feed is chockful of photos of Samantha with her patients and shares her experiences in clinical life.
Lauren is a fourth-year student at the University of Florida who grew up in New York. She’s also a pre-vet coach. You get a great glimpse into her life in Florida!
Kristi is a student at Purdue University. She travels to some pretty awesome places and has a very entertaining feed.
HafuVet is a second-year student. She has Japanese-American roots and got the great opportunity to study veterinary medicine in Japan! It’s super interesting to follow her life in Japan and see the similarities and differences between the Japanese and American curriculums!
Shelby is a second-year veterinary student at Uthe niversity of Georgia. As her Instagram name suggests, she travels to some pretty amazing destinations and shares her experiences with us. She’s also killing the Instagram Story game and keeps us up-to-date on life in and out of vet school. She also has a great blog you should check out, too.
Charlie is a third-year student at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. Her Instagram stories are great and she has a great way of sharing her experiences “across the pond.” It’s really cool to see what vet school is life in Europe!
Harriet is another Brit studying at the Royal Veterinary College in London. She has a great story to tell and shares some great insight about her life and journey.
This account has tons of awesome pictures of the blood and guts of vet school, literally. Definitely a fun and educational feed to follow!
Callie is a 7-year-old Golden Retriever who lives in Arizona and shares the story of her twin humans who are vet students at Midwestern University. See what vet school is like through the eyes of an adorable doggo.
