It’s the time of year to give feedback to our furry family members on their performance in 2017.
Cat’s name: Sparkle
Grade: Third grade (she’s been with us for three years)
Annual evaluation: Congratulations on making it this far!! I wanted to take this opportunity to proudly let you know that you are such a rock star in our home. You are passionate and have never missed one single day to wake me up every morning at 7 o’clock. You are dedicated to your business of making the purring sound everywhere in the house – including but not limited to my lap, my pillow, the sofa, my study desk and more. I was impressed that you were able to quickly master several skills that are not easy for cats – follow an order to jump onto your dining table for food, stand up without external support to reach things (such as treats) that are higher than you. You also showed initiative in bettering the communication between us by responding to our words promptly and we are now having more and more successful “meow” conversation than ever before. However, there are still some aspects that need to be improved. Firstly, I would like you to finish your own food first before grabbing your little brother’s food while there is still plenty in your bowl. Secondly, can we agree that you sleep no more than 24 hours a day? Maybe an hour less? This is for the sake of your own health because I really think you need to exercise more. I am totally fine with your current body condition score which is 6/9 but as a responsible parent, I am more than willing to keep you on an ideal and healthy body shape.
In conclusion, your level of cuteness remains super high and the joy that you’ve brought us is countless. It would be my pleasure to write you a letter of recommendation should you require one for any “most lovely cat competition.” We enjoy having you and look forward to our journey together in 2018. Geaux, young, bright lady!
