I am approaching the end of my first semester and waiting for my finals grade. These 5 to 10 days of waiting feel like an eternity. This semester has been challenging, yet I am already looking forward to the next. I realize, of all my blessings, being able to attend college is a big one. Years ago the idea of going to school was something I could only think about. Raising children as a single mom, the funds were not available for anything but to make the bills monthly.
Now a door has opened. With a supportive new husband and my children being older, school is no longer a fanciful thought. I work at what I believe, although I am biased, is the best clinic in the world. When things are slow I am allowed to use some time for my studies and my questions are always welcomed by the doctors and staff. I can not thank my super tech co-workers enough for answering all of my random texts and questions and for being my cheerleaders through my journey.
I have many books, many essays, and many tests yet to come, but I know with determination and such a supportive network that I will get there. And to my awesome bosses and co-workers, you all are the best team around, and I appreciate every one of you.
