Third-Year, Cornell University
Ben was raised in the great state of Maine. His undergraduate career resulted in a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and included a semester abroad living in the bush of Botswana, assisting with wildlife research with Round River Conservation Studies.
During his first second year of veterinary school at Cornell, read a bunch of books (his favorite being those by author and conservationist R.D. Lawrence) ran his first ultramarathon in Mendon Ponds Park, NY, and adopted a hound dog named Walden.
For Ben, veterinary school continues to be an adventure and constant exploration of spiritual development and community building. He will be returning to rural Maine after school to practice as a mixed animal veterinarian.
